Tuned Jaguar F-Type Predator outputs a staggering 650 hp and 930 Nm!

The Jaguar F-Type R made its introduction in Malaysia some two years ago. With a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 under its hood, the 550 hp and 680 Nm British beast will sprint from standstill to 100km/h in just 4.2 seconds. That is not slow even by today’s standards, but tuning company Viezu Technologies begs to differ.

The ECU-tuning specialist based in UK extracted a full 100 hp and 250 Nm out of the engine, taking the supercharged V8’s final output to a staggering 650 hp and 930 Nm of torque. Fortunately, the car comes with all-wheel drive to keep the power levels in check (sort of). It also comes with a menacing name – Jaguar F-Type Predator.2016-Jaguar-F-Type-Predator-2

Viezu technical director Simon White explains that their primary focus was to unleash the engine’s full potential while maintaining reliability and everyday drivability. Therefore, the only mechanical changes were an upgraded intercooler and a Predator semi-free-flow exhaust.

Power gains were mainly from optimising the supercharger to release its full potential. White expressed that there is more power to the engine than it suggests. This modification can also be applied to similar Jaguar Land Rover cars fitted with this engine.2016-Jaguar-F-Type-Predator-5

Viezu also provides a series of cosmetic upgrades such as 20-inch gold-finished alloys, carbon fibre visual parts, lowered ride height (20mm lower) and stiffer suspension bushings. The power upgrade will set you back at £8,108 (approximately RM42k). Drag race, anyone?
