Car launches are usually a boring affair, provided if the car is just an ordinary passenger car and not a limited edition super car. Alfa Romeo decided to spice things up on their launch of the limited edition of the Mito supermini by getting the Mito into two wheels, while overtaken by another superbike, underneath the car.
This amazing but dangerous stunt is made possible by precision driver Paul Swift, who took the small hatchback into two wheels into a sweeping bend on Silverstone F1 circuit. While British Superbike rider Chris ‘The Stalker’ Walker cornered underneath the Mito on a Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja British Superbike.
The Alfa MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK, will be available for only 28 units for the UK market, and was launched in collaboration with the World Superbike Championship as this plucky Italian hatchback is choosen as the safety car for this motorcycle race series. Powered by a 1.4-litre Turbo, 170 bhp Quadrifoglio Verde engine, and with goodes like the customised body kit, 18” alloy wheels, upgraded Brembo brakes, ‘Solid’ black finishing with an Alfa Red roof, red and black Alcantara sports seats, active cruise control, active suspension, rear parking sensors and a Bluetooth hands-free system, this car can be yours in the UK for 22 thousand quid.
