100m gold medal champion Usain Bolt has become Nissan’s favorite ambassador. The Jamaican splinter and the Japanese car manufacturer has just released a new special edition of the Nissan GTR, which will be auctioned for charity. The unique “Bolt Gold” GT-R will go to the highest bidder in a global online charity auction to be held on eBay from November 22 to December 2, 2012. All proceeds from the charity auction will go to the Usain Bolt Foundation, which was established to support educational and cultural opportunities for children and young people in Jamaica.

The Bolt Gold GTR will feature a gold plate color, embossed with Bolt’s signature and his autograph. No word on the performance enhancement but it will be built to the performance specifications conforming to regulations in the winning bidder’s country of residence. Deliver will be made to the winner by March 2013.

The auction, being held via eBay Motors, officially starts on Thursday and closes at 11.59 GMT on December 2 at http://stores.ebay.com/Auction-Cause/NissanGoldGTR.html.
