GREAT NEWS! Well not really as our beloved Top Gear UK show will only debut the season 19th on early 2013, and worse the annual Christmas special was delayed until February 2013, no thanks to some talent show in the UK. But fret not, as always, the trio will release some DVD specials to satisfy our “Top Gear” withdrawal.
First was Richard Hammond’s special to celebrate 50 years of James Bond’s cars. In conjunction with James Bond’s 50th anniversary and being essentially British, the BBC UK crew decides to play tribute to all the cars driven by 007. This includes Hammond driving and replicating some of Bond’s famous cars, from the submarine Lotus Esprit and many more. Should be fabulous to watch, moreover when the new Bond movie, Skyfall, is currently showing in our cinemas. The special has already bee shown in UK but for the rest of us, you know where to grab one right?
Another special, titled “Top Gear: The Worst Car in the History of the World” will be released on DVD, Blu-Ray and digital download on Monday, November 19, 2012. As the name states, this time Jeremy Clarkson and James May to travel to the North of England to find out which cars are the worst ever made in the world. However don’t let the title fool you, as there will be great cars to be shown from the Ferrari 458 spider, Toyota’s GT86 and the £340,000 Lexus LFA engaging with the dogfight with the Mercedes SLS.
The trailers are as below. Should be a good fix for the rest of us before 2013 comes!
