One of the world’s most important and biggest motorshows is the Frankfurt Motorshow in Germany. Held for 10 days from Sept 15th to 25th, this is where German car makers and many other car manufacturers from all around the world display their new cars and new prototypes, so we can get to see what to expect for new motors in the coming months.

How we wish we were there….

The Frankfurt motorshow does display a great number of great exotic cars, from supercars, hybrids, family cars, prototypes and concept cars. Here are our picks from the Frankfurt Motorshow!

Let’s start with Audi’s S7. Audi’s A7 is welcomed with mixed reactions from the public, however we kind of love the looks of it. So like any other Audi variants, there’s a S version to underline the performance version of the A7. Powered with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine produces 420 BHP and packed with goodies like 7 speed S-tronic gearbox, sport differential and carbon ceramic brakes. The S7 is for those seeking supercar performance figures on a sporty big executive car.

KIA GT concept does raise many eyebrows in Frankfurt. The Korean manufacturer started from cheap and cheerful cars until the recent Korean Renaissance where suddenly the Korean cars look funky and stylist. This is no exception but interestingly there some American muscle car elements are embedded on this. It uses rear wheel drive and powered with a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 giving 389 BHP and 394 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 8 speed auto gearbox. Does this mean KIA wants to compete with American muscle cars like the Mustang and Camaro?

Porsche did take their chances to display their latest 911 in their home motorshow with the debut of the new 911 Carrera S. From the looks of it, it doesn’t look much different compared to the previous generation of 911 but what’s new is the rather amazing 7 speed manual gearbox. Brought alive on the roads by a 3.8 liter flat-six engine bringing approx 400 BHP, with 0-100 figures in just 4.3 seconds.

Same design, but expect nothing but amazement in this 911!

This is something interesting with Mercedes-Benz. In conjunction with their 125th anniversary, Mercedes show off their concept car of the future in the next 125 years to come, which is the F-125.

This is what Merc thinks for their new C class in 125 years to come!

Also, check out this great looking SLK 55. AMG-tuned 5.5-liter V8 producing 415 BHP under this car’s hood and includes a power-operated retractable hard top with available Magic Sky Control sunroof panel.

Interestingly, Mercedes did display their new touring car for the DTM with the C class coupe, together with rivals Audi with their A5 coupe. Together with BMW’s entry with the M3 in DTM in 2012, expect epic touring car showdown between these three German rivals!
