After 3 months since Nissan tested its 2012 GT-R at the Nürburgring, General Motors flew its refined 2012 Corvette ZR1 to Germany to beat the Godzilla’s lap time.

The Japanese made supercar laps the world renowned circuit 2.48 seconds faster than its previous version. With a blistering 7 minutes 24.22 seconds lap time, 2.48 seconds faster than the previous version. The American ZR1 did it in 7 minutes 19.63 seconds! That’s 5 seconds faster than the GT-R!

This refined ZR1 has an improved lap time of 6 seconds faster than the previous Covette’s best lap time. “Testing at the Nurburgring is one of the important methods we have to validate our car in the toughest track conditions,” says Tadge Juechter, Corvette chief engineer and vehicle line director.
