MINI will be in Shanghai Auto Show next week with a big surprise. MINI has been working with Roll Royce on a luxurious limited edition MINI called “Mini Inspired by Goodwood”. Only 1,000 units will be made.

This little posh MINI is based on the Cooper S, powered by 1.6-liter twin-scroll turbocharged engine generating 184HP and 240Nm (177 lb-ft) of peak torque. 0-100 kph in 7.0 seconds. The exterior is a Cooper S, painted in exclusive Diamond Black metallic or optional Reef Blue metallic.

Rolls Royce’s craftsmen took charge in the interior department, bathing the MINI’s interior with Roll Royce’s renowned craftsmanship. Leather trims, polished wood panels, Cashmere roof linings, and more leather. Other standard equipment features include an on-board computer and the Radio MINI Visual Boost, with Harman Kardon hi-fi speaker system.

It is basically and mini version of a Rolls Royce Phantom. No announcement on pricing yet, but a limited edition MINI by Rolls Royce? Do expect a huge price tags hanging on it.
