I believe many readers know who Ken Block is. The masterful gymkhana driver who amazes us with his daredevil and sharp driving skills in his gymkhana series on YouTube. He did try his luck in rally driving at the World Rally Championship (WRC) in 2010 although his rally outings is best described as underwhelming.

In the third round of the WRC, Rally of Portugal starting this weekend and Ken Block is supposed to participate with his new Ford Fiesta WRC car. For those who think with Ken Block’s superior driving skills can perform equally well in rallying, you may want to watch the video below. Unfortunately, during shakedown (an event to allow drivers to test their car settings before the real rallying starts), he ran wide in a sharp right corner, clipped the bank on the left and rolled five times before landing the car in a ditch.

Fortunately, he and the co driver Alex Gelsomino were not hurt but were sent to hospital for check-up. However the car was destroyed so he will have to retire from the Rally of Portugal. Watch how Ken Block rolled his car and ended in a ditch.
