Mercedes Benz unveils a M3 challenger, the C63 AMG Coupe. Developed by its AMG division, this machine is out to challenge the 450HP Audi RS and the 420HP BMW M3.

This AMG coupe runs on a 6.3-liter V8 powerplant, in a basic version or AMG-tuned-up version. The basic version produces 451HP, 0 to 100 kph in 4.4 seconds, limited top speed of 250 kph. Not enough? How about a buffed up AMG version? The AMG Development Package generates up to 481HP, with improved acceleration from 0 to 60 kph in 4.3 seconds thanks to technology transferred from the SLS AMG. Limited top speed of 280 kph.

According to Mercedes Benz, there’s a RACE START function that allows “the driver to explore the vehicle’s full acceleration capability”. Interesting…
