The most powerful earthquake to hit Japan in at least 140 years has caused devastating destructions. A massive 8.9 magnitude quake shook the country at 2:46pm (Friday, 11/3/11), 370 kilometers from Tokyo, unleashing powerful waves of tsunami sweeping across the northeast of Japan.

The number of deaths is climbing and thousands are still missing. Google Inc. released a Person Finder page to help people concerned about loved ones in the area affected by the quake and tsunami. The Person Finder page can be found at and it is available both in English and Japanese.

Japanese automakers Toyota, Honda and Nissan have shut down plants and evacuated their workers from several factories in the quake zone. A worker at a Honda research center was killed when a wall collapsed on him and fire erupted at two Nissan plants.

We from Hanzo Racing offer our sympathy and condolences to the people of Japan, especially those affected in the area.
