Proton has pulled off one of the most anticipated car launches in Malaysia with the Proton X70. One question on everyone’s mind is how the build quality of the new X70 is and after touching and feeling the car, we were pleasantly surprised.
There are four variants of the X70 available starting from the Standard 2WD, Executive 2WD, Executive AWD and Premium 2WD. All variant comes equipped with a 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder TGDi petrol engine paired to a six-speed automatic to push out 184 hp and 285 Nm of torque.
For the first time ever, the Proton X70 is priced exactly the same across Peninsular Malaysia as well as Sabah and Sarawak. Prices start from RM99,800 to RM123,800 on-the-road without insurance. It also comes with a 5-Years Unlimited Mileage warranty, 5-Year complimentary 1GB monthly data connectivity powered by Celcom, 5 times Free Labour Service and a low finance rate of 2.34 per cent per annum.
