ETCM ramps up production of Nissan Serena S-Hybrid, shorter delivery time



Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM) has just announced that the company is increasing the production capacity of the all-new Nissan Serena S-Hybrid to cope with the heightened demand. To date, ETCM has collected 5,500 bookings and of that, 4,000 units have been delivered as of 30 October 2018.

Sales and Marketing Director of ETCM, Christopher Tan said: “Our assembly plant (TCMA) has been focusing on increasing its production whilst ensuring the highest level of product quality, and continuously speeding the deliveries. We are extremely thankful to our valued customers for their continuous support, understanding and patience.”

According to ETCM personnel, with the increased production, the company is expected to fulfil the remaining backlog orders up to October 2018 by the end of November.

Equipped with an improved 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol hybrid system and CVT, the front-wheel-drive Serena S-Hybrid commands 150 hp and 200 Nm of torque. Other innovative features such as Hands-Free Dual Power Sliding Door, Dual Back Door, seven USB-Powered Ports, Intelligent Around View Monitor (I-AVM) with Intelligent Moving Object Detection (I-MOD) and Smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto makes the Serena S-Hybrid the number one MPV in Japan.
