Mercedes-Benz Malaysia launches the updated C-Class Coupe

After unveiling the facelifted C200 Avantgarde, C300 AMG Line and C43 AMG 4MATIC, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia took to Cameron Highlands, and appropriately so, to introduce the C-Class Coupe in the form of two models – C200 and C300 AMG Line.

Prices start from RM 346,888 for the C200 Coupe, while the C300 Coupe wears a RM 416,888 price tag.

Both models wear the AMG Line bodykit with similar front and rear bumpers but sport different wheel designs and sizes – the C200 with 18-inch wheels and the C300 with 19-inch wheels.

The C200 Coupe makes do with LED headlamps but a pair Multibeam LED headlamps with Adaptive High Beam Assist is fitted onto the C300. Like the exterior, both are almost identical on the inside.

Both come with a Nappa leather-wrapped steering, open-pore oak wood trims but the C300 stands out with an automatic panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, surround view camera, an automatic boot, a Lane Tracking Package and the exquisite Burmester Sound System.

In terms of driver assistance systems, both come with Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Parking Assist, Active Brake Assist and cruise control as standard.

The C200 Coupe now comes with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with an EQ Boost system like the one found in the C200 Avantgarde launched yesterday. Like the C200, output is rated at 184 hp and 280 Nm with the EQ Boost adding 13 hp and 160 Nm of extra push.

Like the C300 sedan, the Coupe is also fitted with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that pushes out 258 hp with 370 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired to a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission and while the C200 sits on the Agility Control suspension, the C300 gets a set of sports suspension.
