Here’s what’s new with the facelifted 2018 Peugeot 308 THP

Firstly, the new Peugeot 308 is now priced at RM 129,888 on-the-road without insurance and this includes a 5-year or 120,000 km warranty along with 3-years 24-hour Peugeot Assistance.

Performance wise, it’s got a 15 hp bump up to 167 hp and 240 Nm of torque – feeding power to a 6-speed automatic transmission with Quickshift Technology as before.

Aesthetically, the revisions have been noticeable with redesigned bumpers, front bonnet and the relocated Lion badge that now sits on the slightly re-positioned front grille. Elsewhere, the 308 retains the 18-inch wheel design from before.

Inside, you’ll find a 9.7-inch HD touchscreen display with capacitive touch on the raised centre console, along with Mirrorlink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Gone are the panoramic sunroof and massage functions.

The car is now 140 kg lighter, with a lower centre of gravity for better stability. Safety wise, you can count on the six airbags, ABS with EBD and Hill Start Assist features to name a few but what’s missing is the Driver Assistance Pack in the previous model, which offers adaptive cruise control and autonomous braking.

Available in Pearl White, Ultimate Red, Artense Grey, Magnetic Blue and Nera Black, the new Peugeot 308 THP is available for viewing from today until 28th October 2018 at the 1 Utama New Wing alongside other Peugeot models like the new 308 GTi, 3008 SUV, 5008 SUV and 208 Puretech.
