Apart from encouraging its customers to only purchase Helix engine oils from Shell authorised workshops, Shell retail station, Official Shell Online Stores on the Lazada, Shopee and 11street platforms, Shell has also shared useful tips on how to look out for the real deal when purchasing Helix engine oils:
- QR Code
Authentic Shell products come with a QR code on the packaging which functions as a proof of authenticity. Note that they cannot be imitated or replicated by counterfeiters.
- Range of products
For the Malaysian market, Shell only sells the following range of engine oil:
- Shell Helix Ultra 5W 40 (4L)
- Shell Helix HX7 10W 40 (4L)
- Shell Helix HX7 5W 30 (4L)
- Shell Helix HX5 10W 30 (3L)
- Shell Helix HX5 15W 40 (4L)
Note that these products will also have “Made for Malaysia / Untuk Pasaran Malaysia” stated on its packaging.
- Product Code
There is a product code printed on the new “Made for Malaysia” Shell Helix product packaging. The product code enables tracking and enhances product authentication.
