Vietnam’s first national car, VinFast has just released initial photos of their upcoming sedan and SUV ahead of its global debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. Penned by Italian design house, Pininfarina for the Vietnamese people, VinFast aims to place their new models in the premium segment.
Both cars wear the same V emblem at the centre of the grille that denotes the brand’s initials and reflects the pride of Vietnam’s first car manufacturer that meets global standards. The grille extends into the ultra slim headlamps flanked by the angular bumpers with large openings. If you look closely on the right side of the grille, there is an additional chrome piece that when combined with the LED daytime running lights create an italicises F-motif, the second syllable of VinFast.
As the brand’s first ever car, it is no surprise that the two cars share a lot of similarities to create some form of familiarity for the VinFast brand with consumers. VinFast has engaged leading European engineers and production technology partners to create a desirable model that is competitive in the international level.
Deliveries of the first VinFast cars will commence in Vietnam from September 2019 onwards and the world will have a first taste of the sedan and SUV on 2 October 2018.
