Following the release of Sales and Services Tax pricelist for BMW vehicles in Malaysia, BMW Group Malaysia has also unveiled the updated price list for MINI models in the country. As the trend dictates, fully imported models are now more expensive while locally assembled models are now easier on the wallet.
Starting with the recently introduced MINI 3 Door and 5 Door facelift range, the two models were launched during the zero-rated GST (Goods and Services Tax) period hence there is no baseline comparison for the two models. But the two models now retail between RM245k to RM306k.
The Clubman also saw a price increase of RM4,000 to RM7,000 across all variants due to its fully imported nature. The locally assembled Countryman Sports and Plug-In Hybrid both receive a price reduction of RM5,000 after SST is applied but the JCW (John Cooper Works) variant is now RM7,000 more expensive.
MINI Malaysia has also taken the opportunity to add a Panoramic Roof option for the 3 Door JCW, Clubman JCW and Countryman JCW for an additional fee of RM9k. The 5 Door Cooper S meanwhile gains the Dinamica leather seat option for RM5k extra.
