Adding yet another edition to the multi-faceted Isuzu D-Max range is the new, limited D-Max X-Series, launched by Isuzu Malaysia today at the Setia City Convention Centre in conjunction with the Drive Autofair 2018.
The limited edition X-Series is priced at RM 118,000.00 for the 2.5-litre model while the 3.0-litre V-Cross model is priced at RM 124,000.00. Both are available only in two colours – Silky Pearl and Stallion Black Metallic.
Highlighting the new kit is a front skirting with “dual red tone” highlights and a rear skirting designed to complement the aero sports bars. Also furnishing the exterior are 18-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, projector headlamps, LED tail lights, an X-Series Edition front grille and front bonnet stripes.
Another new addition to the limited edition X-Series is the welcome light upon unlocking the car which is projected onto the ground for 30 seconds.
The X-Series also adds features like a 360-degree Around View Monitor (AVM) System, built-in electronic tag located inside the arm rest along with honeycomb-shaped stitching on the upholstery. The AVM feature utilises four exterior cameras in order to have a bird’s eye view to help the driver see around the vehicle.
Other prominent changes on the X-Series Edition are floor mats with X-Series details, the red LED interior accent lights and LED-illuminated scuff plates. Standout features in the cabin also include the X-Series Edition 3-spoke leather steering wheel with audio functions.
Entertainment is provided for by an 8-inch touchscreen display with mirroring function and 8 speakers while an abundance of vehicle information can be viewed through the e-Lumax Advance Multi-information Display.
The D-Max X-Series is powered by two similar powertrains from previous models; a 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine with 136 hp and 320 Nm along with a 3.0-litre turbo diesel engine in the “V-Cross” series producing 177 hp with 380 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission with Sequential Shift.
Safety and wise, the D-Max X-Series is safeguarded by dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist, ESC, Traction Control while added convenience is provided for by a reverse camera and sensors.
