F90 BMW M5 to star in new Mission Impossible film alongside Tom Cruise

Another Mission Impossible film, another BMW. The multi-billion dollar movie franchise starring the evergreen Tom Cruise, who’ll still play Ethan Hunt in our grandchildren’s time somehow, will once again feature another BMW, this time the new BMW F90 M5.

In the sixth installment (yes, the world will always need saving and only Tom Cruise can help us) of the movie series which began in 1996, the “four-wheeled star” this time around is none other than the all-new F90 BMW M5, launched recently in Malaysia.

And it won’t be the first time BMW has associated themselves with the highest grossing spy film series of all time. There was the F30 M3 in the Rouge Nation sequel and the BMW i8 and 6-series Cabriolet in Ghost Protocol. Even their bikes were not neglected; when a S1000RR was involved in a chase scene in Rogue Nation.

In the video itself, there’s a particular scene that might catch the attention your attention. A scene that’s reminiscent of James Bond’s “Tomorrow Never Dies” when Benji, Tom Cruise’s tech guy in the film drives the BMW M5 with what seems like a remote (0:15), just like Pierce Brosnan did in his E38 BMW 7 Series.

Check out our brief introduction of the F90 BMW M5 here!
