Servicing your Volkswagen just got that much more affordable

From 1 June 2018, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) in Malaysia is officially zero-rated and Malaysians will get to enjoy a three-month tax-free holiday before the Sales and Services Tax (SST) is reinstated.

Since then, we have seen car prices dropped by some margin and now Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has released its latest Service Pricing Guide for all its models (old and new) with zero-rated GST.

The Service Pricing Guide is available for download on VPCM’s official website that breaks down the estimated cost to maintain your Volkswagen vehicle for the first 8 years or 120,000 km. While the price reduction may not seem substantial, savings are still savings.

VPCM Managing Director, Erik Winter said: “Our commitment to our customers extends to our efforts in maintaining a strong level of transparency when it comes to owning a Volkswagen car, hence the availability of the service pricing guide.” He also encouraged owners to take advantage of the tax-free holiday to pamper their VWs with a service from an authorised VW service centre.

Earlier in the year, VPCM has enhanced its ownership experience for customers with a 3-Years or 45,000 km Free Scheduled Service Programme that supplements the on-going 5-Years warranty and 5-Years Roadside Assistance.
