With the announcement from the newly minted Pakatan Harapan Government that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be set to 0% from 1 June 2018 onwards, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has revised its vehicle price to reflect the new fiscal policy.
Customers keen on acquiring a Mitsubishi Outlander will enjoy the most savings at RM7.8k for the 2.0L or RM8.7k on the 2.4L. The rest of the range sees a price reduction of between RM4.3k to RM7.5k.
The one variant that caught our attention is the Outlander 2.0L variant that now retails for RM132,109 after having the 6% GST waived. This price tag is valid to go with the ongoing MMM Special Raya Promo that adds a factory-fitted 360-degree all round monitor and premium leatherette seats. Top it up with the Raya Bonus cash rebate of RM4,000, you are looking at a final price tag of RM128,109 for a highly-equipped seven-seater SUV.
If you’re keen on having a people carrier for your growing family, the Special Raya Promo only runs until 30 July 2018 while the zero-rated GST price is only valid until further instructions from the Ministry of Finance (MoF) to reinstate the Sales and Services Tax (SST).
