Following the announcement made by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) under the new Pakatan Harapan Government that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be zero-rated from 1 June 2018, Volvo Car Malaysia (VCM) has released a revised price list for its model range to reflect this fiscal change.
The entire model line up will see a price reduction of between RM9.2k to RM23.3k with the most expensive Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Plus getting the biggest price cut. The zero-rated GST will also be applicable for parts and servicing prices at all VCM authorised dealers nationwide. The new pricing will take effect from 1 June 2018 onwards until further notice from the MoF.
In addition to that, the zero-rated GST is also applicable to the purchase of all Volvo Service Agreement (VSA) scheduled maintenance package that covers three (VSA 3+) or five (VSA 5+) scheduled services, carried out every 12 months or 20,000 km (whichever comes first) as well as wear & tear parts including wiper blades, brake pads, brake discs, brake fluid and starter battery.
