You can now drive the Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept… on Gran Turismo Sport

The Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept celebrated its global premiere at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show and now, fans can now drive the front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car bearing the legendary Supra nameplate! If you have a PlayStation 4 and Gran Turismo Sport that is.

Gamers can now drive the Supra Racing Concept in the racing simulator game and the developers, Polyphony Digital Inc. promises that every minute detail of the actual concept car was modelled for the game – from the exterior panels to the race-prepped cockpit, giving gamers an immersive experience to push the concept car to the limits on the virtual in-game racetracks.

The in-game Supra Racing Concept conforms to Grand Touring Endurance regulations which put the concept car in the same class as other GT3 race cars. All its visual cues like the wide body, GT wing and livery are all taken straight from the actual model that made its appearance at Geneva.

Of course, a road legal version of the Supra is currently being co-developed with BMW and will share the same underpinnings as the next-generation BMW Z4. While the Z4 will be sold as a convertible, Toyota’s sports car will be offered exclusively as a hardtop coupe.
