New Perodua Bezza GXtra launched, replaces 1.0 Standard G variant



Perodua has just launched the new Bezza GXtra, a new variant that replaces the 1.0 Standard G model, at the Malaysia Autoshow 2018 in MAEPS, Serdang.

Offered at an introductory price of RM35,500 (previously RM 36,035) for the manual and RM37,500 (previously RM 37,980) for the automatic, both on-the-road before insurance, the Bezza GXtra also comes with a 5-year/150,000 km warranty.The new variant retains the 1.0-litre VVT-i engine producing 67 hp and 91 Nm, paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. Fuel consumption is rated at 21.3 km/L for the automatic and 22.8 km/L for the manual.

What’s new with the GXtra?

It now comes with side skirts, chrome door handles and is now offered in Ocean Blue, a colour previously only available for the 1.3-litre Bezza models.Inside, the dashboard and infotainment panel is now finished in piano black trims while the steering wheel, air con vents and gear lever is given a satin appearance. The door handles on the inside are now in chrome.

The rest of the car, such as the 14-inch alloys, fabric seats, halogen headlamps, Bluetooth and USB connectivity are retained from the 1.0 Standard G model.

Safety features such as – dual SRS airbags, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution – are all standard.

The Bezza is Perodua’s first sedan as well as Malaysia’s most affordable Energy-Efficient Vehicle (EEV) sedan. Since it was launched in mid-2016, it has been the country’s best-selling sedan, with nearly 100,000 units finding new homes to date.
