Mercedes-Maybach will soon be unveiling the concept version of its upcoming third-generation GLS, following the immense success of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, at the Beijing Motor Show, according to reports by Autocar UK.
The push for this ultra luxurious SUV will see the new Maybach-branded GLS challenge the likes of Bentley Bentayga, the Lamborghini Urus, the Range Rover and the highly-anticipated Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
Mercedes-Benz also took to Facebook to vaguely introduce the concept Mercedes-Maybach GLS in a teaser video above. It is said that the new Maybach GLS will share the same aluminium bodyshell as the regular GLS with a few signature Maybach design tweaks.
There’s still no confirmation on what the GLS would be powered with just yet, but all signs point to the twin turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine found in the recently launched S560. It’s also the same powerplant that powers the Aston Martin DB11 and the new Vantage.
