This is how the new Ford Focus ST and RS could look like

It was only a matter of time before it happened. The usual suspect, X-Tomi Design, had taken the liberty to render images of what the ST and RS versions of the newly-launched Ford Focus could look like – evidently, hostile.

While the impending original designs may differ, it’s fun to exercise a little imagination sometimes and ponder on the possibilities on what could be. If anything, Ford can pretty much copy and paste these drawings for production (the RS in particular) cause it looks so good.

The new Ford Focus comes with four different engine options with a range of output – the most coming from a 2.0-litre EcoBlue turbodiesel that makes 148 hp and 370 Nmof torque. Transmission wise, there’s either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic, with the latter being a first for the Focus.

The EcoBoost petrol engines feature Ford’s cylinder deactivation system that automatically shuts off one of the engine’s cylinders while coasting. On-demand propulsion, the cylinder can be reactivated within 14 milliseconds – 20 times faster than a blink of an eye – to resume performance.
