Range Rover Velar P250 2.0L turbo confirmed for Malaysia, 21-inch alloys



It is no secret that Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia (JLR) is bringing the Range Rover Velar to Malaysia whereby the company has confirmed that the premium SUV will make its debut sometime in April 2018 and will be positioned above the Range Rover Evoque. Now, JLR has announced initial specification details of the soon-to-be-launched Velar.

Malaysia bound Velars will be of the P250 variant, powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged Ingenium engine that puts out 247 hp and 365 Nm of torque. Drive is channelled to all four wheels via an eight-speed ZF sourced automatic, propelling the Velar P250 from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds onwards to a top speed of 216 km/h.

If you ever decide to take your Velar off the beaten track, you’ll be pleased to know that the car is equipped with the brand’s famed all-wheel-drive system with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics and Terrain Response 2 off-road system to get you out of sticky situations.

JLR has also confirmed that the Velar will be dressed in slim full LED headlamps, flush deployable door handles and 21-inch alloys with four design options. Inside, the Velar sports Touch Pro Duo system that combines two 10.0-inch touchscreen display to from the centre console, Navigation Pro System, Virtual Instrument TFI Display, Surround Camera, Powered Gesture Tailgate and Head-Up Display among others.

Full specifications of the Land Rover Velar and its pricing details will be announced at the official launch happening in April 2018.
