Today, car images are all in some way shape or form digitalised, illustrated and heavily-edited. It’s rare that anyone will ever see a tasteful acrylic painting of a car on display – like shifting a manual transmission, these paintings are a lost art.
But for those of you who still appreciate the simplicity and craftsmanship of hand-drawn images, you’re in for a treat. Kazuhiro Ikeda, who goes by the pseudo name of Bow, painted a series of classic Honda’s (and some modern ones) to draw a connection (pun intended) and depict the daily lives of a Honda owner. There are over 30 different drawings of different generations of Hondas, dating back to the first-generation Honda Civic, the S800 and the CR-X, to name a few. My personal favourites are the Honda S2000 and NSX; which I’ve made my personal mission this weekend to see them framed and hung in my room.
I wish I was more artsy and articulate, to be able to discuss art with you guys but I’m clearly not. So here’s a gallery instead, of every iconic Honda imaginable, if your PC is in need of a new wallpaper. The images are also compatible for both iPhones and Android smartphones.
