The Formula 1 season opener is set to take place this 25th March in Melbourne, Australia and Red Bull has paired up two of its most prominent drivers, Daniel Ricciardo, of Red Bull Racing F1 Team and drifter “Mad” Mike Whiddet in a Mazda 26B-TT MX5 ‘RADBUL’ drift machine. Watch the video here.

Having spent four seasons with the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 Team, consistently drinking champagne out of his shoes with every podium finish, Ricciardo finished 3rd overall twice in recent F1 seasons and will no doubt be a force to reckon with not just within the team, against youngster Max Verstappen, but also amongst the competitive grid.

“Mad” Mike Whiddet on the other hand, has been the talk of the drift scene for years now. Known for strictly drifting with rotary-powered Mazdas, Mad Mike’s exploits on-track has been as impressive as his wildly spectacular stunts off-track.

The beast that both drivers rode on is none other than the infamous NC Mazda MX-5 with a 2.6-litre four-rotor rotary engine, strapped with two oversized turbochargers and tuned to produce more than 1,200 hp.
