Drive the Jaguar F-PACE around a “Smart Cones” course this weekend!

Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia is giving you a chance to have a go in the Jaguar F-Pace, the Jaguar XE and Jaguar XF around a “Smart Cones” course this weekend from 16-18th March at the Art of Performance Tour in Setia City Convention Centre.

The Smart Cones course, with cones that randomly illuminate in Green and Blue is not only a test of the car’s agility, maneuverability and comfort but also challenges the driver’s awareness and reaction. There will also be a separate course to test the Jaguar XE and Jaguar XF’s “low friction acceleration” and “dual friction braking“. The former will allow drivers to experience a standing start with and without Traction Control (TC). With Traction Control on, there’s literally no drama as the car sets off with the Traction Control stepping in to prevent wheel spin.As for the “dual friction braking”, drivers will be asked to accelerate till 40 km/h until they arrive at a slippery surface drenched with soap and water where they’ll subsequently be instructed to brake as hard as possible. Drivers will be able to experience the vast effect of driving with and without Jaguar’s electronic safety nets like Traction Control, Electronic Brake Force Distribution and even ABS.

Those present will also be among the first Malaysians to sample the 2.0-litre F-PACE before it’s launched in Malaysia this April. The F-PACE’s new 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium powertrain features a single twin-scroll turbo that produces 247 hp and 365Nm from only 1,200 rpm. The soon-to-be-launched F-PACE is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission, allowing the lightened F-PACE to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.0 seconds. The XF business saloon does the same run in 5.6 seconds while the XE sports saloon hits the 100 km/h mark in just 5.5 seconds.
