Naza Kia Malaysia (NKM), the official distributor of Kia vehicles in Malaysia has just introduced a new variant to the Kia Sportage line up. The new Kia Sportage 2.0 EX officially replaces the 2.0 KX and 2.0 GT as the entry-level model while the 2.0 CRDi GT soldiers on as the range topping model.
Visually, the Sportage EX is the middle ground between the KX and GT trim, it gets HID projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, simple bumper with halogen foglamps, new 18-inch five twin-spoke alloys and LED taillamps.

Inside you’ll find keyless entry and start, automatic climate control, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rain sensor, auto folding side mirrors, Electrochromic Mirror (ECM) and auto dimming rear view mirror.
Power comes from the same 2.0-litre Nu MPI four-cylinder engine that serves up 152 hp and 192 Nm of torque. Drive is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
Fortunately, the entry level Sportage has retained the full range of safety kit – six airbags, ABS, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill Start Assist Control (HAC) as well as front and rear parking sensors.
The Kia Sportage 2.0 EX is priced at RM129,888 (OTR without insurance) and is available in five exterior shades: Cherry Black, Mercury Blue, Fiery Red, Snow White Pearl and Mineral Silver. Like all Kia models, the Sportage comes with 5-Years Unlimited Mileage Warranty.
