Kia to debut new Kia SP Concept, compact SUV exclusively for India

Kia Motors India (KMI) will be previewing a brand-new concept car at the 2018 Auto Expo in New Delhi next week. The new concept car will be an exclusive model to India, the fifth largest car market, and to nobody’s surprise, it’s another SUV.

The new concept, dubbed the SP Concept, will be inspired by Indian heritage and driven by advanced technology. Based on the teaser image, we can tell that the car features Hyundai Motor Group’s familiar SUV silhouette – bold lines across the shoulders and sloping window design. KMI hints that the new concept will be a compact SUV size that pairs high functionality with bold and stylish design.

President of Kia Motors Corporation, Han-Woo Park commented: “All of us at Kia Motors are extremely proud to take our first steps into one of world’s largest automotive markets. And we are here to build more than just great cars. We aim to set a new standard in the Indian auto industry by providing consumers with world-class products and services while engaging with and giving back to the local community.”

Alongside the world debut of the SP Concept, KMI will also showcase the brand’s latest range of electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids and global models, including the all-new Stinger GT. Proving Kia Motors is committed to replicate its international success in India.
