McLaren Automotive achieved yet another record-breaking year, delivering a total of 3,340 cars worldwide in 2017 compared to 3,286 the year before. The UK, its home country, emerged as the brand’s second-largest market after North America.
In UK, sales of new vehicles achieved 23 percent growth with 550 new cars delivered to new owners. The success was largely due to the introduction of the second-generation Super Series, the 720S and the first-ever Sports Series convertible, the 570S Spider.
McLaren Qualified, the brand’s official pre-owned programme saw a staggering 143 percent growth in its domestic market, with a total of 240 pre-owned McLaren’s sold in 2017. The pre-owned programme offers a minimum of 1-Year manufacturer warranty and roadside assistance, multi-point inspection and guarantee use of McLaren genuine parts
Moving forward, McLaren is looking to expand its UK retail partners from the current six outlets to eight within the coming months due to the unprecedented appetite for McLaren vehicles.
