The most popular Taxi in Norway is a Ford Focus RS

A taxi driver in Norway has opted for an unconventional choice of vehicle for his taxi services which had proven to be popular with his customers seeing as he’s clocked up more than 127,000 km in just 18 months – a feisty Ford Focus RS.

This has propelled Norwegian Evald Jåstad to somewhat of a rockstar status as he had been ferrying locals and visitors alike in his “Blue Lighting” as it has been nicknamed, equipped with the signature white O.Z Racing rally wheels and mudflaps.

The Ford Focus RS houses a 2.3-litre four-cylinder EcoBoost engine with 350 hp and 440 Nm of torque on the taps mated to 6-speed manual gearbox. With the Ford Focus RS Limited Edition that’s limited to just 1,500 units, Ford even threw in a Limited-slip differential into the mix.

To complement the Drift Mode that accompanies the Focus RS, Ford Performance recently also unveiled the Ford Performance Drift Stick – a rally-inspired electronic handbrake that mimics the functions of a conventional hydraulic handbrake.
