Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) has revealed the third generation Porsche Cayenne in Malaysia where it not only continues its excellent balance of performance and practicality but now offers a wider range of standard equipment.
The new Cayenne is available in two variants – the 3.0-litre turbo Cayenne delivering 340 hp, 40 hp more than the previous model along with the 2.9-litre V6 bi-turbo in the Cayenne S delivers 440 hp, a 20 hp increase. Power is delivered through a new 8-speed Tiptronic S gearbox.
With the Sports Chrono Package, the new Cayenne S is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in less than five seconds. The new third generation Cayenne is now up to 65 kg lighter thanks to its intelligent construction.
For the first time, the new Cayenne will feature mixed tyres and rear-axle steering. On-road capabilities are further improved by active all-wheel drive as standard, Porsche’s 4D Chassis Control and a three-chamber air suspension.
This is further supplemented with the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), electronic roll stabilisation system and a newly developed Porsche Surface Coated Brake (PSCB).
