Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4L CKD launched in Malaysia, more tech for RM155k

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has finally introduced the locally-assembled Outlander 2.4L, joining the recently launched Outlander 2.0L CKD. The Outlander 2.4L CKD is now competitively priced at RM155k (OTR without insurance) – RM11,720 savings over the CBU variant when it first went on sale in early 2016.

Despite the lower price tag, MMM has managed to introduce additional features to the Outlander 2.4L CKD. New items include 18-inch two-tone multi-spoke alloys, an aerodynamic rear spoiler, 7.0-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Air Gesture Control, All Round Monitor (360-degree camera) and Digital Video Recorder.

Power comes from the same 2.4-litre naturally-aspirated MIVEC four-cylinder that belts out 166 hp and 222 Nm of torque. Drive is sent to all four wheels via an INVECS-III CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission).

The Outlander 2.4L CKD continues to offer best-in-class safety features with seven-airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, Active Stability & Traction Control (ASTC), Hill Start Assist, ISOFIX mounting points and Rest Reminder.

Customers can choose from three striking colours – Red Metallic, Solar White and Ruby Black – a newly added colour that is available exclusively for the Malaysian market. Every purchase of the Mitsubishi Outlander comes with 2-Years free service and 5-Years unlimited mileage warranty package.
