The new Renault Koleos Initiale Paris has been introduced in the UK with a unique Amethyst body colour exclusive to the new edition. Priced at 36,700 (RM 197k) pounds, most of the upgrades lies within the exterior and interior trims, building on the Koleos’ already extensive specification.
On the outside, it comes with 19-inch rims, full LED “Pure Vision” headlights and Initiale Paris badging while inside, the Initiale Paris receives an exclusive two-tone Nappa leather upholstery with heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof that strangely only stretches to the mid-way point of the second row seats.
Entertainment is provided through a potrait 8.7-inch touchscreen R-LINK2 multimedia system with TomTom navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. An automatic powered tailgate is also standard; opened either with the key fob or waving the foot under the rear bumper.
Aside from Hands Free Parking, the Initiale Paris edition also comes with Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition with Over-speed Prevention and Hill Start Assist.
Other safety features include ABS with EBD, ESC with traction and understeer control along with six airbags.
The Initiale Paris edition can be had with a dCi 175 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine producing 175 hp and 380 Nm of torque – the most powerful diesel engine in the Renault range. Power is delivered through a seven-speed Auto X-Tronic CVT gearbox, via the ALL MODE 4×4-i system which allows for three separate driving modes – Auto, Lock and 2WD.
