Second-gen Hyundai Veloster flaunts side-profile, much sleeker than before?

Late last year, Hyundai Motor Group released a short clip teasing the soundtrack of the next-generation Hyundai Veloster and right before Christmas, the company released another YouTube video showing off the Sports Coupe’s silhouette.

Fully draped in LED’s, the Veloster puts on an interesting light show and at the same time flaunts its body lines. It appears that the new Veloster will follow the design set by its predecessor – long bonnet, hatchback styling and a coupe-like roofline. Another interesting detail is that the Veloster will continue to be a three-door coupe as seen from the missing door handle (the previous video had a high-mounted door handle).

Other noticeable design cues include the longer front doors and windows, i30 like front end, longer rear overhangs and shark fin antenna. All these in addition to the black painted alloys matched with the red painted callipers, central-mounted dual-exhaust outlet and rear diffuser as shown in the previous video.

For those who have been eagerly waiting for the Hyundai Veloster replacement, the company will be presenting the second-gen Veloster at the 2018 North American International Show happening in the coming weeks.
