You may have read about the Hennessey Performance Velociraptor 6×6 making its appearance in SEMA a couple weeks back but if you missed it, there’s now a video to see it in action.
At USD 371,000 (RM 1.56 million), it’s a bargain for the load of metal (and wheels) you’re getting – it’s nearly half the price of a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6, valued at nearly 1 million Dollars, without lacking any less presence (or wheels).
Backed by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, with an option of a 600+ hp ugrade, the Velociraptor is said to be capable of a 4.9 second sprint to 100 km/h. The 600+ hp upgrade package comes with upgraded twin turbochargers, stainless steel exhaust modifications, a front-mounted intercooler and a re-tuned ECU.
“It really drives a lot like the stock Raptor but you can just feel more to the vehicle”, said founder, John Hennessey. (You don’t say!) He also added that only 50 units will be built for the domestic market with another 50 units for the international market
