Petronas Dagangan Berhad (PDB) has launched the Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 with Pro-Drive, the enhanced, new generation sulphur-free diesel that’s proven to deliver a smoother drive and superior fuel economy.
Pro-Drive is a combination of reformulated higher quality base diesel from Petronas’ refinery and formulation designed for today’s advance common-rail diesel engines.
The Pro-Drive technology is the brainchild of Petronas’ partnership with IVECO, an Italian industrial vehicle manufacturing company to produce a winning formula for the Petronas De Rooy IVECO team in the Dakar Rally where it was victorious in the 2016th edition.
Test results have shown that the Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 with Pro-Drive recorded higher cetane number – a result of which is efficient combustion and reduced noise.
The Petronas Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 with Pro-Drive removes deposits, protects the injectors and cleans vital diesel engine components to improve engine durability. The Dynamic Diesel is also said to provide more efficient combustion with quicker engine starts and less vibrations.
“Petronas’ involvement in the Dakar Rally has provided us with a platform to understand the needs of common-rail direct injection diesel engines and to improve our products to meet the most extreme driving conditions,” said PDB’s Managing Director and CEO, Dato’ Mohd Ibrahimnuddin Mohd Yunus.
The new Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 will be available at 58 selected Petronas stations with plans of hiking that number up to 115 stations in the near future.
