Effective today, customers can now make bookings for the new variants of the Toyota Innova, the 2.0X and the new Toyota Fortuner 2.4 VRZ 4×4 and 2.4 VRZ 4×2 alongside the upgraded Toyota Hilux. The said models are all locally-assembled at UMW Toyota’s plant in Shah Alam, Selangor.
The new Innova 2.0X will now be the flagship model of the range with exclusive additions to identify it as the top variant. They include LED headlamps, premium combination leather, 6-way power adjustable seats for the driver, Captain’s seats for the second row and larger alloy rims.
The Innova 2.0X also received the 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating, like the rest in the Innova range with 7 airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill-Start Assist Control, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist and Emergency Stop Signal.
The Fortuner range has two new diesel variant additions – the 2.4 VRZ 4×4 and the 2.4 VRZ 4×2, placing them just below the top of the line 2.7 SRZ 4×4. The two new Fortuners now come with Bi-LED projector headlamps, Vehicle Stability Control, 7 airbags, leather seats, automatic air-conditioning and a powered tailgate.
Also new to the Fortuner are LED fog lamps and Cruise Control. The 2.7 SRZ 4×4 and 2.4 VRZ 4×4 now come will Downhill Assist Control (DAC). All variants are now updated with rear disc brakes.
As for the Hilux, Malaysia’s best-selling pick-up for the last 12 years, enhancements have been focused on convenience and comfort with cruise control, automatic air-conditioning, USB ports and rear vents among the new inclusions. The 2.8G and 2.4G automatic variants get Vehicle Stability Control, Hill-Start Assist Control, Active Traction Control. The same systems have also been added to the manual Hilux 2.4G while the automatic 2.4G now gets 7 airbags.
All these models will be covered by a 5-year warranty with unlimited mileage, subject to terms and conditions. The Hilux comes with a 5-year warranty with 150,000km mileage.
