Mercedes-AMG Project ONE officially teased, F1 derived tech with 1,000 hp & over 350 km/h top speed



Mercedes-AMG has just teased their upcoming hypercar with Formula One (F1) technology, the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE, ahead of its world premiere at the 2017 Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA).

The company has pledged to bring the full fledge F1 hybrid technology to the road therefore has fitted the Project ONE with a 1.6-litre turbocharged V6 hybrid, generating over 1000 hp. Mercedes-AMG claims that the hypercar has a top speed in excess of 350 km/h.

With a hybrid system and over 1000 hp, the engineers claim that the car “combines outstanding racetrack performance with day-to-day suitable Formula 1 hybrid technology and exemplary efficiency”. Although we simply can’t wrap our heads around “exemplary efficiency”…
