Isuzu UK have teamed up with Arctic Trucks, the 4×4 specialist, to launch the D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35. Designed and reengineered to perform in the most gruelling conditions, the new variant will be available for purchase in the UK from 1st October 2017 onwards.
Originated in Iceland, Arctic Trucks specialises in converting 4×4 vehicles for extreme conditions while maintaining high levels of drivability, safety and reliability. On top of the high-spec D-Max Utah variant, the AT35 adds tinted windows, shark fin antenna, tailgate damper and black wheels (silver finish available as an option).
Inside, the AT35 adds Arctic Trucks branded headrest embroidery, carpet mats, door sill covers and interior badging onto the existing keyless entry & push button start system, 7-inch multifunction colour touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Audio as well as satellite navigation.
No changes were made to the engine – the recently debuted Euro 6-compliant 1.9-litre turbodiesel with 162 hp and 360 Nm of torque paired to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Towing capacity remains at 3.5 tonne with one tonne payload.
Colour options for the D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 include – Splash White, Cosmic Black, Obsidian Grey, Venetian Red, Tundra Green, Titanium Silver and Nautilus Blue. The company is asking an additional £4.5k (RM24.6k) at £37,995 (RM208k) for the AT35 over the standard range-topping D-Max.
