Here’s where you can view the Toyota C-HR in the flesh before its launch

One of the most anticipated SUV in Malaysia, the Toyota C-HR made its first public appearance at the 2017 Carlist.my Test, Drive and Buy event two months ago. Thanks to the overwhelming interest in the compact SUV, UMW Toyota Motors (UMWT) will be hosting a public preview of the C-HR starting 4 August to 10 September.

The full list of venues and dates are as follow:

Venue Date
Toyota Section 19, Petaling Jaya Showroom 4 – 8 August
Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Racing Festival at Batu Kawan Stadium, Penang. 12 – 13 August
Toyota Subang Jaya Showroom 16 –  22 August
Mid Valley Megamall 23 – 27 August
Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall 4 – 10 September

The C-HR has appeared on UMWT’s website stating that it will feature a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder Dual VVT-i engine mated to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with sequential shifter. UMWT has also equipped the C-HR with side mirror puddle light, follow-me-home headlamps, a “luxurious interior”, “full range” of safety features and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) that should be bundled with Blind Spot Monitoring.

Our local-spec C-HR will be available in no less than six exterior shades – White Pearl CS, Metal Stream Metallic, Attitude Black while Red Mica, Radiant Green Metallic and Blue Metallic will come with a blacked-out roof.

With all that said, what remains a corporate secret is the price, drive platform and number of trim levels. If the funky looking C-HR tickles your fancy, be sure to check it out at the selected venues. Lock those dates down people!
