Audi Malaysia today announced the arrival two new models to complete its executive line-up – Audi A6 2.0 TFSI quattro and unmistakable Audi A7 Sportback 2.0 TFSI quattro.
Both the A6 and A7 Sportback come with a high performance 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder petrol engine working alongside Audi’s legendary quattro permanent all-wheel drive for added assurance and stability on the tarmac.
The Audi A6 2.0 TFSI quattro takes its place between the entry-level A6 1.8 TFSI and the range-topping Audi A6 3.0 TFSI quattro, standing out with 18-inch 10-spoke V-design wheels, its signature Singleframe grille, LED headlights and taillights with dynamic indicators.
The A7 Sportback on the other hand provides a distinctively progressive silhouette with its long bonnet, muscular waistline and sloping roofline; making it a more accessible option for owners looking to combine the sporty appeal of a coupé, the comfort of a sedan and the practicality of an Avant (station wagon).
Both the direct fuel injection engines develop a total of 252 hp and 370 Nm of torque between the range of 1,600 and 4,500 rpm and is mated to a seven-speed S tronic transmission, delivering power through Audi’s famed quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. Zero to 100 km/h takes just 6.5 seconds in the A6 sedan while the A7 Sportback five-door coupe does it in 6.7 seconds.
The insides of the A6 sedan sets the tone for business class comfort with electrically-adjustable front seats with four-way lumbar support followed by spacious and comfortable rear seats wrapped in Milano leather. The executive sedan also come with Audi MMI navigation plus with MMI Touch which can be accessed through an electronically-retractable 8-inch display. Other creature comforts include Audi Connect, Bose surround sound with a 12-channel amplifier powering 14 loudspeakers.
On the contrary, the A7 Sportback projects a more sportier vibe from its interior with a more sculpted dashboard with Aluminium Ellipse silver inlays. This is further enhanced with similar electrical adjustments on its alluring sports seats with four-way lumbar support in the front and cosseting rear seats, all done up in sumptuous Alcantara-leather combination.
Tech wise, the A7 Sportback is as bristled with features with the same infotainment and connectivity features as the A6 sedan but with additional Audi Smartphone Interface, providing iOS and Android smartphone connectivity through the vehicle’s MMI interface.
Both the A6 sedan and A7 Sportback are swamped with features to ensure safety and efficiency. These include the Electronic Stabilisation Control (ESC), Traction Control (ASR), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). They also come with a start/stop system with energy recovery, tyre pressure loss indicator, hill descent control and a grand total of eight airbags.
The Audi A6 2.0 TFSI quattro is priced from RM 407,900 whilst the Audi A7 2.0 TFSI quattro will retail from RM 484,900. Both are now available for booking at all authorised dealerships effective immediately.
