The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe is coming to Malaysia real, real soon

The next Mercedes-Benz car to be introduced here is the C238 E-Class Coupe, and it would be slotted right in the Dream Cars range.

Details are currently scarce, but the E 200 and E 300 duo will most likely form the launch offensive. Judging by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s most recent track record, we can also expect the hotter E 43 Coupe and E 63 S Coupe to make their way here in the not-too-distant future.

Essentially, the new E Coupe has grown larger in dimensions, with a wheelbase that is a staggering 113 mm longer (2,873 mm) than before. It gets all the fancy tech trickeries of the four-doored limo, including the ludicrous 64-coloured LED ambient lighting, fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster and even the illuminated analogue clock.

They will both share the M274 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine making 184 hp at 5,500 rpm and 300 Nm of torque from 1,200 to 4,000 rpm. The E 300 gets a hotter tune with 245 hp and 375 Nm of torque. There’s also the E 400 with a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 making 333 hp and 480 Nm of torque as the range topper, but it’s unclear at this point if it will debut at the same time. All variants get a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission as standard.2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe unveiled
