Honda Jazz facelift now on sale in the US, comes with Honda Sensing

Not long after we received the Honda Jazz facelift in Malaysia, our friends in the US also received the same model, except they get the Honda Sensing active safety suite.

Better known there as the Honda Fit (just like in Japan),  the refreshed supermini is broadly similar to ours. However, items such as the two-piece chrome and piano-black grille are unique to their market. The fog lamps are circular compared to the rectangular ones we get.

The new Sport trim adds 16-inch rims, rear diffuser with body-coloured accents and chromed exhausts. Two exterior colours also make their debut here – Helios Yellow Pearl and Orange Fury.

The biggest update for the Fit is the inclusion of Honda Sensing active safety suite, and it is offered across all trims. This mean it gets Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigation Brake Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist System with Lane Departure Warning and Road Departure Mitigation with Road Departure Warning.

The Fit is powered by a 1.5-litre four cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine that deploys 130 hp and 155 Nm of torque. Customers can choose to go with either the six-speed manual or the seven-speed CVT.

The 2018 Honda Fit is now marketed as America’s most affordable car with the most advanced safety and driver-assist technology. Pricing and availability will be announced in due time.
