Woman claims to be raped by Grab driver, suspect remanded for six days



According to a report by TheStar Online, Serdang OCPD has received a report from a 29-year old woman claiming to have been raped by a Grab driver at 4am on Sunday. The Police have since remanded the 30-year-old suspect at his house in Sungai Buloh on the same day.

The victim requested a Grab service back to her home in Sri Kembangan and the accused allegedly committed the heinous act near her residence. The suspect sent the victim home after committing the crime. According to Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Megat Mohamad Aminudin Megat Alias, the victim was unable to fight the suspect off because she was drunk.

Police has also seized his Perodua Myvi and clothes that he was wearing when he committed the crime. The suspect will be in police custody for six days according to reports. Grab Malaysia have since released a statement regarding the incident on their Facebook page.
