Goodyear Malaysia has just launched its latest high-performance tyres, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 (A3). The A3 is positioned as Goodyear’s flagship product in the premium, luxury, sport segment and they take pride that it’s offered as OEM fitment on various premium marques such as the Jaguar XF, Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Alfa Romeo Giulia, Chevrolet Camaro and Porsche Panamera.
To satisfy the growing demand for high-performance tyres in the premium luxury segment, Goodyear has introduced a variety of new technologies to help drivers stay in control while enjoying their spirited drive. Featuring the new Grip Booster Technology, the tyre consists of a grip booster compound and adhesive resin that delivers strong grip, shorter braking distance and improved handling.
The Active Braking Technology increases contact surface and grip during hard braking, shortening braking distance. Lastly, a new reinforced construction technology that delivers a lighter and stronger tyre structure helps improve handling, tread wear and fuel efficiency.
According to independent German automotive inspection organisation, DEKRA, the A3 is projected to offer 31 percent or 11,500 km better mileage as compared to its three leading competitors. In a separate test conducted by TUV SUD, a German testing and certification company, the Goodyear A3 is said to have 9 percent shorter wet braking distance, 4 percent shorter dry braking distance and wet handling as well as 10.9 percent better rolling resistance compared to the Michelin Pilot Sport 3, Bridgestone Potenza S001 and Continental Sport Contact 5.
The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 tyres will be available in 34 sizes ranging from 17- to 20-inch. Recommended retail prices of the tyre start from RM668 to RM1,820 (inclusive of GST). Customers can purchase the tyres at all authorised Goodyear dealers nationwide.
