Fiat just can’t stop making limited edition 500s. This one is for their 60th birthday

Besides the MINI brand, another iconic small car that blew onto the affordable small-car scene was the Fiat 500. Otherwise known as the “Cinquecento“, the 500 celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, and this special edition Fiat 500-60th is only sold in selected markets.

Its styling is a direct nod to the original 500, thanks to the vintage Fiat emblem and some retro trimmings. Exclusive to it are Dolcevita two-tone paintwork, grey fabric roof and 16-inch alloys.

The old school theme continues on the inside, where the dashboard gets covered in red vinyl, a classic Fiat logo on the steering wheel and the retro-inspired leather seats. Some modern touches are inevitable, such as the 7.0-inch infotainment screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Two petrol engines are offered here – a 69 hp 1.2-litre mill or the 85 hp or 105 hp 0.9-litre TwinAir engines. The latter lump can be had with both manual or Dualogic semi-automatic gearbox.

Just 250 units of this commemorative edition will be allocated for the UK market, with pricing set to begin from £19,240 (approximately RM106k) to £21,000 (approximately RM116k). Back at home, Fiat is currently unrepresented, but several units of the 500 and 500 Abarth have been brought in by grey importers.
